i read where the plastic tanks can rupture from a spill, am wondering the same about cf.
wouldnt wanna see the bus burn after a mild spill.'any other pitfalls of cf tanks?
thought this would be a killer, and relatively cheap, way of dropping lbs, as i dont see any fat off me coming off anytime soon.
thanks

Carbon will bust just like fiberglass if it recieves an impact. So yes it could catch on fire if you crash and had an impact to the tank since it can't just dent like the steel. I personally would run one on the street anyway though.

My buddy had his GSXR 1k go up after a really tame spill. He was pulling out of a gas station, got clipped by a cager pulling in for fuel, his C/F tank cracked and the fuel leaked on his right side pipe. The bike was toast.

BTW that yosh tank is for the X-1 busa body work and I don't think they make it any more, I was trying to get their front fairing and I was having a he!! of a time trying to get straight info from the company over email.

You could just get one of these puppies!
That 1 is no longer available,I have the last 1 ever built.
