Who Rode Today?

I kept wiping the ones that got on my visor off with my glove as they hit, because they blocked my view too much, but these I couldn’t see until I took the helmet off. My jacket is covered and even my boots have a couple. I had my more breathable gloves today and a big bug hit my right hand finger and it hurt like hell. That’s why I like my gauntlet style leather gloves better, but is getting pretty hot down here to wear leather jacket and gloves, so textile gear it is for me until it cools down again.
What's fun is when you go into a restaurant covered in bugs...people really give you the stink eye then...

Had to stop riding today! The 18 is killing my tires. Ordered new set, hope to get back on 2 soon.

I went for a 220km adventure ride today with a few mates, lots of fun and great to get into an isolated country area with no people around…

Then… when I got home at 4.30 ( dark at 5.30) I worked on the GSXR for a couple hours fitting new spark plugs and oem parts to replace modified stuff, in my quest to put it back to 100% stock, and took it out for a 40km ride around the long block, dropped into a mates place for a coffee and a chinwag, first ride I’ve had since delivery of the old girl… goes fantastic! The carb job has really set the the power to where it should be just as it was new! No joke.. this bike is FAAAAAST!!

I got in a windy 148 miles today. Took on 3.799 gallons of 89 octane for $24.69 netting me just under 39 mpg. Had a number of triple digit runs but they didn’t last very long. Some go fasters came roaring up the Golden Chain hiway lead by a GSXR and a BMW S1000R. One of their wives came a few minutes later on a 390cc Duke. What a noise it made! Her husband was wearing an air bag vest. Four bicyclists stopped too, three of them on E bikes and I heard them talking about how much they cost. Over 6K! Along with pedaling they said they get about 80-100 miles on a single charge. Too much work for me and their seats are too tiny as well. My V1 saved me once and an oncoming car flashing his headlights over and over saved me as well. Both CHP cars were stationary running radar.

Hey kiwi I see you got the garage lit up pretty good but you should look into some of the led lights I put in my garage and about to put in my shop real soon. I put 6 in my garage and it's like daylight in there and less electricity being used as well.

Will definitely look into it, thanks man.
My friend was just this weekend saying the same thing!
It's a 6m x 6m space and I run 4 double fitting flouros, yeah, they eat the power compared to LED's.
At 40 bucks each, $320 for 8, I'll save up for that lol.
