I've heard other racers at the strip talk about this but I never bothered to ask what does it do. Now I see there is one for sale here at the ORG.

I have Brock's golden hub installed an was wondering what performance gains does this provide.

I believe that it "softens" the hit as the clutch comes in...the counter weights, in grams, pull the fingers outward and push the discs toghter. Lots of adjustment, as for performance gains, consider it another adjustment when leaving the line. You can set the weights based on your judgment of track conditions. I am by no means a clutch specialist, but have experience with that style of hat, base pressure, finger weights, etc.

Probably even more important in nitrous apps...

Just seems like something else to worry about to me, unless you have a built motor or are pushing some serious nitrous or something of that nature. Of course, I am by NO means a proffessional. I just enjoy trying to get the most I can out of my stock bike.
Friday night I was able to get a 1.531 60foot time though. Which I think is pretty good considering I only have the bike stretched about 2 inches. I also ran a 6:38 in the 1/8. I have geared 3 up in the back and done the airbox mod, but the bike is pretty much stock! I don't have an airshifter or anything. I enjoy foot shifting cause it is more of a challenge!!
