I'm new to this sight, and hope to share some thoughts about taking an excellent bike and making it into a long distance sport touring bike.
I drove my new B-King home only to start working on the ergonomics. First lowering the foot pegs 30mm (Now I wish I went with 50mm) pulled the handle bars back an inch and a quarter. Then took a sheet of aluminum and made a back rack that replaced the rear seat. Put a Givi mount system on the plate to mount a top box. Thats all I've got to date. Bought rear foot pegs mounts from 08 gsx1000 so I can hang duel pipes and side rack mounting system. Hope they come today. It's not that I don't like the look of the stock pipes its more that I would like to put extra fuel under the tail. Thats the piont I could use some advice where do I go to have a costom tank made? I know that I COULD buy a c-14 or a k1300gt but whats the fun in that, plus they might nought catch me.
