Sure, Bush won, but...

I know it's over and done with. But has anyone taken a look at the map and seen the states that Bush won in? http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/

Those in those states that I'm about to mention, my apologies in advance. Scary to know that the fate of our nation has been decided by those in states that have an IQ and education level that is less than those that Kerry won in. On the AVERAGE.

Most of the ones that Bush won in by way of electorial votes more than likely don't even understand what electorial vote is. Some can't even spell electorial in those states! Scary...

Before some of you get all huffy & puffy, really take a look at that CNN map. Seems like the states with the higher average education and IQ voted for Kerry: Cal, NY, PA, HW, WA, etc...

So, without intentional offense, in a nutshell, every aspect of where our great nation will be headed in the next 6 years (2 more after the term, because that's probably how long it will take to clean up after Bush's current term is over) has on the AVERAGE been decided by a bunch of.... slower people.

And for those in the military that primarily backed Bush? Nice work! And to reward you, he's over extending your combat tour over at Iraq, and sending over another 12000 poor souls to join you in the fox holes.

You know, I went out of my way to be nice to you on the thread where you showed yourself to be an impatient self consumed crybaby, but now I realize that you are just that. You cried because you didn't get your way at the dealership and now you have to cry and make excuses for your loser candidate.

politics is one of the biggest waste of time for me plus it's in the wrong board. lets talk about bikes shall we...

And for all you blue staters that think you'd be better off without the uneducated redneck cowboy country bumpkin red staters, think about this. Where do you get your food?

thats about the funniest shat I've heard all day.

Even though I'm from a slower state (Virginia has voted conservative for 40+ years) even I can see this as typical liberal whiney ass dribble.

It's people like this that make me even more sure that I can never vote for a democratic candidate for anything above street sweeper.

One more thing, since you are so smart, why don't you correct all your grammatical errors in this post? Show how smart you are.

If government is the answer, what was the question? If you voted for either of the major candidates, or even most of the minor ones, the joke is on you. Change... riiiiight. All I ask is that you and your government get the heck out of my life.

Move on already. How long does this denial stage last?

Sorry Kevin. I see I struck a cord. Funny how you remember the dealership ordeal. And if I'm the bad guy, then what does it make the dealer that takes people's money, and not do what they took the money to do? What's right is right. And what you think the dealership did was right? Can anybody that sit on the customer side of the fenceline say that what they did was right?

Back to the Bush reds vs. Kerry blue subject. I was simply pointing out a observation and expressed my opinion. Instead of retorting to the opinion or the observation, you attack me as a person. Hmmm..... You know that it is generally believed that uneducated and lesser thought processing people are more prone to easily being angered, and less open to ideologies of others?
rock.gif
Anything that doesn't fall within a framework of what that person has already been conditioned to believe is automatically labeled as "liberal crap whinning". That is the personna of true ignorance. So it actually doesn't surprise me that the typical counter arguement to my posting is a attack on me as a person and not my point of view.

What would SURPRISE me is if someone like you, Kevin and you, Pure won't counter my post with stats and backed up info, such as the tally average of some of the red states to the blue's education level. You don't argue from that angle because off the bat you know you can't deny what I pointed out initially. So instead you resort to name calling. A tactic that a typical pre-teen would use. Hence, you've just reinforced my belief. By the way, Kerry may not have been the best of candidates. But it was a situation of "choosing the lesser of the two evils". We already had Bush for 4 years that managed to drive this country's trillion $$$ surplus into a trillon $$$ deficit, inflate the cost of living (including real estate), while losing our higher level jobs to overseas, and kick our economy down. He boast that a million new jobs were created in the last year, what he didn't say is that the vast majority are minimum wage to $8.50 / hour jobs. Healthcare prices are going beserk and he wants to send more of our people and money over to Iraq to play cowboys and indians. He should just bomb the hell out of that place and send our people in afterwards to get the oil and call it the day.

Could Kerry have done any better? I don't know, we don't know. We may never know. But how the hell could he have done any worst? You may call me a whiner, a liberal, a assh*le, I maybe some of that sometime or all of that all of the time, but I believe myself to be a pragmatic person. So, what's up Kevin and Pure? Anymore name callings? OH, I forgot: You ignorant, undereducated, inbred, crossbred, furher worshipping, dumb, hick. There. Sorry, but I'm afraid if I didn't call you names, I would lose you somewhere back there.

Bwahahah! Government is NOT the answer, no matter who the figurehead is.

Let me put it this way:

No individual has the right to initiate the use of force against another person. You will probably agree with me on this point because chances are you would not condone allowing someone else to initiate force against you without reserving the right to respond. I'm assuming you are not a hypocrite of course - what's good for the goose is good for the gander here.

Because no person has that right, no group of people has that right. You cannot delegate a power to the government which you do not yourself posess, so you cannot vote to have the government force people to do what you want (say, to pay for your health care for instance by forcing people to pay that same government in the form of taxes, the levels of which are set by arbitrary vote.) Nader wants to turn this into a socialist country. He wants to use government to FORCE you to be safe, to FORCE corporations to act the way HE thinks they should. He does not have that right. No one does.

Frankly, it sickens me when people come along and say that government can solve problems. IT CANNOT! As soon as you "give" government the power to FORCE people to do things, you create tyranny. You cannot escape it. If you vote for a person who wants to use government power, you are voting to give them the ability to use force. On YOU (unless you are a hypocrite of course.) Now I am sure that people think "oh no, our government would NEVER get that bad." Guess what people. Patriot act? Gun control? No Child Left Behind? Yes, it is bad. It will only get worse, because that's what governments do. All governments fail, almost always for the same reasons.

Want to get out of the trap, here's how you do it: Be personally responsible for your own life. Don't force other people to do things just because YOU think it's right, unless you accept the equal right of others to force you to do things the way they want you to do it because THEY think it is right. You see where that goes. Oh wait, that's where we are now. No, instead be responsible, be reasonable, and punish only those who actually harm you. Not those who MIGHT harm you. Not those who simply disagree with you. If you are not actually harmed, you have no business interfering in the lives of others. You have no business forming organizations to interfere in the lives of others, regardless of their name (company, church, government, etc.)

Stop voting for people and groups who think they know better how to run your life than you do. Stop trying to make your problems my problems. Stop trying to make me pay for your ineptitudes and insecurities. Stop taking the fruits of my labor and redistributing them the way you see fit, as if you or anyone else actually had a clue how best to do that. Stop interfering in my life with your silly notions of engineered society.

Punish me when I hurt you, leave me alone the rest of the time, and we'll get along famously.

Interfere with me at your peril.

Dude, there is enough dumb ass people that should not be voting to go around in every state. If you thinned out the dumb ones from the blue states you would need a state the size of Mexico to put them in. And there are just as many in the red states. Bush won, fare and square, Kerry and his Tort Attorney lost, fare and square. Now it's time for all of us to stand behind the man in the oval office and see if we can't clean up some of this mess we are in! United we stand, devided we fall!

I for one do not believe in blind obesience. I won't stand behind anyone just because a majority of people think he's right. He's gotta be right in MY mind before I support him. Stand behind him if you like. Don't expect me to just because you do.

To counter the pithy saying: I'd rather fall divided by righteousness than stand united in stupidity

(P.S. No offense to you personally, but stuff like that makes me scream inside, and occasionally aloud!)

Sounds like my fellow liberal needs a little back up eh?

Well I guess we should point out this belongs on the random thread and not here... So where does snakeoil, the foul liberal from MA, weigh in...

Bush, and his cronies pulled off a win. Am I disappointed? Sure, but not in Bush, but in Kerry for being such a pathetic candidate for the president. Being from one of those "smart" states like MA, I'm amazed at how come all the smart states can't find a "presidential" candidate that can relate Americans across this country. Yes, someone who can sell his/her ideas... A novel idea.

So us liberals can label you dumbass states as a bunch of rednecks, but you’re all victorious. In politics, as in war, winning is the only thing worth a crap.

Want some doom and gloom-- just imagine the cast of losers us liberals will put in the lineup in 2008!!!!! It should even make JK look good.

-snakeoil

Once again, why do you think others are better at running your life than you? Can anyone here answer me that? Or is it more fun to just go on about the labels we give each other and the meaningless but harmful policies we perpetrate on each other by allowing government to continue as it is?

Hey Smart guy,

I got one question:

HOW IS THIS BIKE RELATED?

No wonder you voted for Kerry. Can't even follow simple instructions on a website.

I'm Bill, I'm from Texas, I'm in the military, and I voted for Bush.

PS Your logic is fuggin stupid. Go cry on another board, we don't need anyone around here calling others slow, etc.

WOW! I love these threads, they are so much fun! I Think I will stay out of this one as most of you probably know where I stand.
smile.gif

Snake...looks like the "snakeoil" stuck and you decided to keep it, or were you just waiting for me to come along and pre-empting?
rock.gif

eynlai...don't take it personally as these topics get pretty wound up. Usually I would hammer you relentlessly too, but I'm too tired to even try. Bush won, get over it! I am in a blue state still fighting the good fight. Although Bush did win 36 of the 39 counties in WA state and we have a Republican Governor elect so things are looking up! Try coming up here to a liberal protest or rally and ask some Q's or try to get some facts, you will quickly meet the biggest pack of uninformed dumbasses you could ever believe existed, red or blue state.

I guess there is millions and millions of stupid people in America then, this analogy is pretty broad and,,,,,,well stupid. That's it no more ketchup for you!!!!!

Most of the ones that Bush won in by way of electorial votes more than likely don't even understand what electorial vote is. Some can't even spell electorial in those states! Scary...
Having read the thread start to finish here are my summaries:

Proper use of force = Ayn Rand, one of the most intelligent people of the 20th century, we need her now more than ever.

Small Government = founding fathers, men who would come out of their graves and start a second American Revolution if they saw what has happened to their country

Government as a Necessary Evil = result of the enlightenment and a precursor to the American Revolution

Bush v Kerry = get over it, go cry on a Michael Moore website

Either talk about motorcycles, motorcycling, or get lost. Spare me your self righteous outrage, your snide cynicism, your contempt for democracy and "one man, one vote" You know, I bet all those South Africans who now get to vote don't have all the pedigrees that the apartheid ruling class had - should they not get to vote too? I bet that the women voting in Afghanistan and Iraq aren't as educated as the men who vote - should their voices count?

If anything, your critique is better aimed at how poorly American Colleges are performing where it comes to the ideas of right and wrong, good and bad. We teach technical skills, but we leave a vacuum where morality is concerned. The most anti-american spot in any city is the University Campus.
