Sprocket went to the vet today. Turns out he is approximately 7 months old. He received a clean bill of health: no FIV or Leukemia and the worm test should be back in a day or two.
At first the vet thought he may had already been neutered (apparently his testicles are tiny ), but he has not, so that will be another trip to the vet.
He does NOT like the dog, but she could care less that he is here. The true test will be in a few days when the other cat comes home. IF all goes well there then he can stay. If not then we will have to find Sprocket a new home as Kahlua is just too old to deal with the drama.
