sportech v-flow windscreen

I was wondering if any of you had removed the black perforated stuff on the underside of you v-flow chrome windscreen. it has a warning stick that says something about reflective sun damage to plastic. any problems with this?? also anyone had any problems seeing threw the stuff while riding?

Definitely leave that on. I had the chrome windscreen before that shield was on it and the windshield did melt my gauges. I called up Sportech and they sent me a new windshield and even paid for my gauges to be fixed. I would say that is some pretty good customer service.

Yep, it was part of the redesign of last year I believe. Talks about it at their site.

Ditto on leaving it on...does sort of suck, since you can't shoot a camera through it... but it looks great!

That's what I thought. They paid for the gauges and the labor to install them. I couldn't have been happier.
