black out your fairing bolts. I did it to my black 07 and it's a nice subtle mod that goes well with the black. Look at your pics above and notice how much the bolts jump out.....

did the same but chrome. since that was the only way to get everything as a set. thinking of making it all blac via P/C or paint to match the frame, or either get the chrome wheels and grab bar to even everything out.

Just use your OEM bolts and spray paint or powdercoat.

cool bike i used car touch up paint 2 paint all my bolt they come out pretty nice

That powder shouldnt have flaked, if it was preped correctly.
Try 60/80% gloss next time. 60 is semi/80 would be like your fairings.

hey riccoh you can powder coat right over that chrome to match the fairings color (Red Chrome).
