I have to adjust my chain and need to buy a socket for the rear axle nut.

Anyone happen to know the size?

Cheers.

Isnt is it like 36mm? Not 100% sure.

I didnt have a 36mm so I used a Standard. I think it was an 1 1/2"

i thought the 36mm spanner is in the "tool kit"? mine came w/ one ???

I think some dont like to use it cause you cant get the correct torque on it with the spanner.

ah, that would make a little more sense i guess. i never had a problem myself but there i always put a new cotter pin just in case. :whistle:

Cheers mate...that'd be nice 'cos I can't find one that large anywhere. Been riding for nigh on 35 years and have never come across such an article as this nut. What's wrong with one half the size and a cotter pin like every other bike I've ever owned?

Oh well, it IS without doubt the most wonderful machine I've ever ridden, so I guess it's a small price to pay.

I guess they don't see many axle nuts come off, I have yet to see one 40+ years riding.
Don't see many unattached car or truck tires rolling down the road.
Torque it to spec and worry about other things. Like blue hair cagers, and if they are wearing a hat get past them as fast as possible.

:rofl::rofl:

The 08+ BUSA doesn't come with a cotter pin and castle nut like the Gen-I... :(

I just drilled mine out and installed a cotter pin for Land Speed Racing....
