Ping: NOR CAL Groupies

Come on guys, remember, cold wet shady sandy corners can have (unfortunate) consequences. Anywhere between Berryessa and Clearlake would be a terribly long ambulance ride. No more crash stories OK?:please:

Well, I stuck to Plan A today. Logged 325 miles up and around Clear Lake and Lake Berryessa.

Chilly and beat the rain. Roads were damp and Hwy 128 had softball and football sized rocks in most of it's corners. I rode the goatiest of goat trails for about 30 miles. Must have been 6 to 8 creek crossings. Most dry, couple maybe 6 inches deep. Took it easy most of the way but did find several stretches of clean dry pavement to make it all worthwhile.

Didn't make it to Auburn (Plan B). No time left after Plan A (RIDE) was executed.

Solo? 325 miles and you forgot a camera??? Did you ride completely north of Berryessa and end up having to cross all those creeks ending up at 29 in Lower Lake? They're all dried up by mid summer. Man that's a rough road until the very end.

Went solo, think this scared the rest of them off.

Yep, Berryessa-Knoxville Rd. Middle part is rough but ya barely feel it going at the right speed, until you round a corner and splash down into a creek. The northern piece got romped hard all the way to Lower Lake. :cheerleader:
