Finally done my income taxes today. Decided not to push the deadline this year as usual. Gettin' back a little from the feds... Filed state and ended up owin' them ONE FREAKIN' DOLLAR!!!

WTF?

That just chaps my ass! It will probably cost them a few hundred to process the one dollar check that I am sendin' them! That's the second time in a few years that I've ended up havin' to send them less than $5... Burns me up...

Hehehehehe... When I filled out the check, on the line where you write out the amount of the check I actually wrote "One freakin' dollar!". Think I'll end up gettin' audited for that smart ass stunt?

I should explain that we don't get all of that because of kids, but it's nearly doubled since having them...hey, it's enough for a new Busa every year!

Just two kids...we've always filed single with zero dependants so we over pay all year...we've done it for so long now, that even with kids, we look forward to getting that chunk of money back. If we start paying just enough in taxes throughout the year, I'm afraid we'll one day end up owing, and I don't want that...

It's our pathetic savings plan...

We do the same thing. Althoug with my wife quitting her job (to go back to school) I had to jack up the # of dependents to my check would be large enough to buy food!

My school district dosen't kick in anything for dependent health insurance, so when my wife quit, our health coverage went from $125 / month to $410 /month.  To make matters worse, because I'm starting coverage on Feb 1st and have to pay through the end of Sept, AND they do not take it out of the summer check,  My healt insurance is costing me...
