new to motorcycles, first official ride on this thing

To put it bluntly, OP - you're a fkn idiot.

Busa Rookie - I won't be as blunt as these two, but you really should study the Hurt Report, or any other motorcycle accident study. You will find that you are in jeopardy... statistically.

You are in some very high risk categories:
  • Less than 6 months riding experience
  • No License
  • No safety course
  • Riding an unfamiliar or borrowed motorcycle
  • Still in your youth (my assumption)

You have control over some of these risk factors, but not all.

Add the Hayabusa to this equation and you are almost guaranteed a trip to the hospital this summer.

Reduce your risk by fixing what you can... take the MSF course, get a license, get all the gear, read the books, etc.

I wish you the best.

This is basically the equivalent of being dropped in the middle of the ocean and not knowing how to swim.

all is going well so far, 150miles on her still 45mpg (back/forth to work).. i will take the test in this bike when i have the confidence to do figure 8s under the pressure lol because no sense learning something else when i wanna ride this bike. i dont want to ride a 650..
