Lowering links

Is it possible to install lowering links without the help of someone else?

All you need is some patience(spelling)

Is it as simple as removing the stock links and installing the new ones or does the shock need to be supported in some kind of way.

1st or 2nd gen?
Pipe can help if it's a gen 1.
If not; no idea.

Either way it does need support.

It's 2nd gen (2008). I guess I could use a floor jack under the shock.

I used a jack to support and lower to the height I wanted.

Don't know how the 2nd gen is setup, but taking off the belly pan; you can use the bracket that it mounts to and floor jack there.
