Lowering kit for a 2006 Katana

Good morning all,

I know this is slightly off the beaten path.

My girlfriends' son has an 06 Katana, he doesn't ride anymore.

She is kind of vertically challenged.

She knows how to ride but this bike is way to tall for her. (She is 5'1").

Looking for a lowering kit or ways to lower the bike for her.

Thoughts, and suggestions are mor than welcome.

I looked around and the cheapest alternative for lowering a Katana is the adjustable dogbones and having the seat shaved. The Lowing links can be found most anywhere and you could take the seat to an upholstery shop and they could take the cover off the seat and shave it down to fit your needs. The expense alternative would be to have the forks cut because I am not finding a lowering triple for the Katana anywhere. Maybe you could use a lowering triple from another Suzuki but then who knows what else you'd have to change then.
