LEDs for running/turn lights

Would I have to get the three lead LED's to make LED boards for replacement signal and brake lights or just the two lead LEDs?

2 poles will suffice for what you need if your going to run two differnt led colors such as red and amber. the three poles if you are going to run a red/amber in one led. where one is ground. one is amber one is red.

for now i'm just gonna do all red leds. My tail will have 2 more leds than infintereality lol. I won't have the trickflasher tho but that's fine with me. Maybe for my next UFO tail boards i'll do the amber/red
