Razor blade- carefully on the throttle side, plastic sleeve under it. Clean all adhesive goo off bar and sleeve. Use 3M spray adhesive on bar and this will allow new grip to slip on smoothly, but be quick before it tacks up (about 20-30 secs). Several people agreed it is not necessary to use adhesive on throttle sleeve, it has ribs on it so it will not slip anyway.
Check the grips before installing, throttle side is bigger diameter inside to acommodate sleeve. Also, I had to trim the rim on the outside edge of the throttle sleeve smooth with a box knife as only the stock one has the groove in it that goes over it.
