Fan. When do they start working?

I have a question, when do fan start working? I notice when I started the bike, they don't appear to be spinning. Is that normal? Do they work after a certain temperature? I'm just curious.

Yes after a certain temp. It's a high # with OEM settings in the ECM - like 200+F. Someone here will know the exact number. This is one of the options to consider when flashing the ECM: the switch-value can be lowered causing the fan(s) to come on at a lower temp.
