anyone ever use a mps autoshift air shifter

i have it on my bike but have never used it. for those that have used it what do you usually set your shift point at?

That depends on where your peak horsepower is. Can be anywhere from 9500 - 10,500 rpm

havent had it on a dyno since i did an upgrade. but i have carillo rods, je turbo pistons, mcxpress turbo, carpenter ported and polished head with upgraded springs. what you think would be a good estimate?

They usually make the most at 10500, set the shft point at 10,300 with the auto shift.

put it on the dyno, my peak hp was at 10,600. love the auto shift cant stand that huge box!

My shift point is 10,600, make sure you turn it off if you spray nitro, the box i have doesnt kill that well when i spray. The box is huge i wish they made a smaller box!!!

i have mine set at 10,400 and i love it, 5.87 @122mph in 1/8th mile, 9.23@145 in the 1/4 mile my gearing is 15/48, mt 7in flat slick with bars and lock up clutch no spray

if i didn't have the bars on it would, my 60ft is 1.32, i come out of the hole @ 9,000 rpm with a 2 step throtle. kinda expensive but well worth it getting ready to get a slider clutch just waiting on it to get here

WHEN EVER I COMPLAIN OF SHORT TIME PROBS THATS WHAT MY BUDDIES (WHO ALL RUN SLIDERS) SAY TO GET.tHEY ALL RUN THE STANDERD BRACKET RACING SETUP SLIDER WITH MSD 2-STEP+CROSSOVER DELAY DEDENBAUR OF COURSE.
Correct me if wrong but my buddy (builds drag bikes) said when i put clutch mod in that he could slap a slider in easy.He said not that major could do in prob a hour or to.

Got my shifter set @ 10,300. Works mint.

you can call mps and they can tell you how to make it where the fi light doesnt come on. you have to cut one of the wires and solder it to a different place. this process also quickens the kill time. i had to do it to mine because fully adjusted still didnt have enough kill time. i called mps, they said send it to them, and they did it for me. no more fi light

.....and yeah they need to do something about that huge a$$ box.
