I bought a Stage 5 FZR1000 Head used that was done by SBM
I did a big bore kit to 1040 and bolted the head on
SMOKED like a SOB, thought F me guides so I pulled the head and started to bolt the OEM head back on,
Dropped the SBM head off at Stetson for a rebuild
Got home and finished reassembling, Bike still smoked. I had crushed a Oil ring
Stetson said head was Decent but was in desperate need refresh.
also when Decking it for flatness he found out the head was decked at a huge angle
When I got the head back the freaking bike was a BEAST, I don't remember what I picked up in MPH but it was obsene 2 weeks later I put money down on my Busa
