Good use of old compter FreeNAS

I had an old computer laying around and I decided to turn it into a file server. I have all of my music, and photos, some videos on there. I plan to add anther drive to back up all my data.

You can share any drive that is attached to the server including optical drives.

It was very easy to set up and it works like a dream. I set mine up to boot from the CD drive and the config file is on a 64MB USB flash drive.
It is a UNIX based OS, basically BSD OS.

Once you get it set up you can remove the keyboard, mouse, and monitor, and control everything from a web browser on any machine in your home network.
The file server shows up as a share on all the network computers. Takes about an hour or less to set the whole thing up.

This is the version I'm using "LiveCD 0.69b3 i386"
