Thanks for the advice from all. I have done clutches on my dirt bikes and my Ducatis before. The only reason I would let the shop do the exhaust is the bike is already apart (for the serivce/inspection) and they offered a package deal of full yosh for 800 bucks.
I will do the PC myself.
Now...
I use a professional 3M product that many body shops use. It is available at automotive paint stores. It is mildly abrasive to clear coat and works wonders on clear coat scratches and swirls. I use a micro fiber towel to apply/remove it with elbow grease. After removing the scratch I follow it...
I was wondering if any of the heads here have a Yosh full system with a Power commander. If so, how do you like the setup?
I have been debating having the shop install these two items. It would be great to hear some owner experiences before I plunk down the dough.
Also at 19K miles I am fairly...
I bet if you did sell the Gixer to the kid, it would have been a pee wee herman moment as he sped off right through a bill board.
Even some of the 600's are not really great choices for beginners anymore.
The graduated system would be a plus here as long as we did some like:
50 - 250cc (so...
One word...
Nutrisystem!
Went from 260 to 231 at 6'1". 41 more to go!
I am always amazed the bits people buy for their bikes to make them lighter. Titanium this, carbon fiber that.... When really the weight loss attention should be paid to the pilot, not the ride .
Please don't mistake my post for a rant. I am perfectly okay with having to sink some dough into a busa that I was able to buy for 5K. I could have taken the bike to get it inspected but I could not ride it due to the wasted rear and if I went wishy washy, some other head would have snap'd it...
Well, I picked up the used 03 Busa today for 5Gs. Eventhing looked ok and it seemed to have appropriate wear for 19K miles. The tires were complete toast, especially the rear. Looks like he was doing some burnies to roast the rear. Nice thing is the Busa is 100% stock, no aftermarket parts...
Wow thats a looooonnnng thread. When I drive my Dodge 2500 Diesel, I go out of my way to move my big butt over so motos can pass. If I say a homo in a neon do that to a guy on a bike, I would crush his ass.
I've been riding since I was 12, now I am 36 closing in on 37. I never bother with cheaper stuff cause I have seen first hand how crappy it protects you (like ICON stuff).
Never thought about the used route...DOH... Oh well maybe when I look for a set of Dianses pants will look at newenough.
So I looked in my closet last night to make sure I had some gear left before going to pick up the bike. Looking around it was either older than old, or just did not fit the expanded waistline anymore.
So I went down to pick up some gear and holy crap this stuff is expensive now. I just can't...
