Common dont want to spend another 450eur for not reliable parts :/ maybe you two were "unlucky"?
Could be just unlucky... maybe it was from transport and in the package something got bent or whatever but Cardona took care of it quick and they paid for shipping both ways..my part was just getting it shipped.
It worked fine .. smooth and soft shifting just didn't fix the lag and that was my reason for getting it

they don't talk about fixing the lag.
When I look at the evidence throughout this forum, it seems the lag is programmed into the ECU and not the fault of the QS (OEM or otherwise), and it activates when the ECU senses it needs to 'protect' the gearbox. Perhaps, a better-quality QS reduces the frequency of the lag for some, but it doesn't seem to eradicate it. Unfortunately, Suzuki appears to have programmed this self-protection to be overzealous. Each time it's happened to me it's because I didn't comply with the "3 C's" of using a QS: Concise, Complete, Confident. E.g., one time when at WOT I shifted nervously (not confident) and the lag kicked in. Another time, I tapped it in lazily (not complete) and got a big lag. Finally, I once shifted too slowly (not concise) and yep - lag! Since moving my shifter position lower and training myself into the art of the 3 C's, I've had far fewer lags.

Somebody said "I hate when they touch/mess with the timing" or close to that..can't remember who it was since it was when I first got in the forum.
Since this QS you can adjust timing, sensibility a was hoping it would fix it

Yeah, I was really suprised when we first started hearing about all the Gen3 QS problems, as it's based on the Gsxr1k's, which as said is great, and all the shifts on it are seemless, especially 1st to 2nd...and it's that shift and the QS in general that really make the power of that bike stand out even more.
The Gen3 has been disapointing to me with all of it's issues, and even though I liked how it felt when I sat on it(never had a chance to ride one yet), vs how the Gen1 and Gen2 feel comfort wise, I no longer have any plans to buy one...and I have 4 bikes right now anyway...so I need another like I need a hole in the head
lol
Hi. I think we all need another hole in our head as I now have 4 bikes too. I need to sell 2.

Hi. From when I was buying bike for Windmill Cycles I never liked the TL1000R.

They aren't fast, as a modern 600cc 4-cylinder will probably outrun them in a drag race.
But, they have a unique feel flicking them side to side through twisty roads, and have more torque than a Busa...so it wheelies on command.
I love the sound too.
They really don't compare to anything else either, other than an RC51 Honda...which feels like a stronger, lighter, and much more refined version of the same thing.

That you in the video?
That was nicely done, clear, step by step, and straight to the point, no bs'n about.
Not me in the video... just came across that video while scrolling on Tiktok... since I have that QS saved I remembered this thread .
I don't know much about different QS but that one looks like pretty complete with all the connections it has to install

The best quickshifter mod is to change it to GP shift. I had a few lags in street pattern, but none (so far) in GP shift.

Seems it directly correlates to the force, how much effort you put whiile shifting. Looks like with hard boots I do get less lags and etc, but if I wear sneakers sometime QS hesitates.

Update about OEM qs, added aella shift rod "stabilizer", adjusted gear lever to have more forcefull shift and shifting behaviour changed to positive, almost none hesitation or lag, played with QS1/2 settings, havent felt any difference in shifting speed, but seems hayabusa gearbox likes QS2 settings more as shifting is more "soft" now, especially downshifting, will leave QS1 only for track use everywhere else will be QS2.
QS1 is a bit clunky at low rpm from 1 to 2, with QS2 much more smoother. I would recommend to play with settings ;)
