Talking about winter mods got me thinking (or dreaming I guess...)

What if you could build the busa out of the lightest materials available.

So.. might be like a busa with
carbon fiber wheels, gas tank, and bodywork
Titanium frame, swingarm, nuts, bolts, fasteners, etc..
Magnesium engine parts (I know the zx10 has some of these)

1.) Lets say it was mass produced, what kind of money do you think suzuki would sell it for? My guess: (don't let it influence your guess) Ducati 999 is about 30K and they use some pretty light materials, Suzuki might want to compete there, so I figure 30K.

2.) What kind of total weight do you think it would be (we're at 478 dry right now)? My guess: From a site I saw recently CF bodywork is a 65% reduction from FB, and Titanium is 50%. I have no Idea what the comparison is to steel so I'll say 55% total reduction = 263 lb?

So anyone know of any fabricators who use titanium or magnesium.

I don't think it would be that light, but you have a good thought about it...

sounds like it's gonna be a pain in the ass to keep both wheels on the ground.

Not to mention high-speed stability.
