For those of you reading my other thread on possibly getting rid of the bike in favor of a 350Z roadster, let me show you some pics of what I have done in the year since we moved into the house. I'll start with the basement:

When we moved in, this basement was completely unfinished. I have added plumbing for a wet bar, as well as added a bathroom in the basement using a sewage ejector. I rerouted a MAJOR amount of plumbing while i was doing this as well. The room where I am putting my pool table had the gas line as well as the hot and cold water lines to the kitchen attached to the bottom of the joists. I moved them over to the corner of the room, and, along with the HVAC ducts, put them in a soffit to hide them all. More pictures to follow:

Shed and deck were built by me. I got some help on the basement from djsin, and also got some help from him on the shed.

I have to add, the library is a wonderful resource when you want to learn how to do something. As are friends who are electricians.

Oh yeah, and I planted 20 arborvitae in the back yard as a natural fence, cut down 2 maple trees, and planted a blue spruce.

Coming along. Its gonna have a workshop, home theatre, billiards room with wet bar, and a bathroom. Oh, and the bathroom is gonna have a television in it, too.

I'm impressed not only with the work but with the cleanliness of the workspace.

BTW - folks who can do electrical are like Gods to me. I think it's voodoo!

Well whenever i knock off for the day, the last thing i do is clean up my mess. It makes it a lot easier to work. Cleaning up after i cut the concrete out for the bathroom plumbing was NOT a fun cleanup. As for electrical work...well, i didnt burn the house down, so i guess everything is okay. A lot of what I did was from an electrician friend of mine explaining things to me...this goes here, that goes there, etc. I guess it worked out okay.

YEah well thats another story....a friend of mine has a land river, and between that and burning it, we have something brand new for that azz. The rover has a winch as well as spikes that come down to "lock" the truck to the ground. He said hes had success pulling a 15" stump with it without too much of a strain on the truck or the winch.

We'll see.
