.... and no... the Hayabusa is not going anywhere :)

I have been keeping an eye on the Polaris Slingshot's for a while now. I rented one two times and was impressed and thought it was a great time. I sold the Viper a few years ago and replaced it with a Jeep and felt like a sports car was missing from my life especially a manual transmission. This is a 2019 which is the last year of the 2.4L Chevrolet motor which I believe was in the Solstice and the Cobalt. It is not the fastest thing but it sure is fun. In 2020 they introduced the Polaris engine into the lineup and stopped using the 2.4 and numerous issues were reported. There is a huge discussion about the Slingshot being a motorcycle but I definitely do not believe so. In FL we do not require helmets or even a motorcycle endorsement. These are more like go carts for the street. Hopefully I did not bore you my friends but this will keep me from putting miles on the busa.

UPDATE:

It is sold. I rode it for about a year and put maybe 7k miles on it. It was actually decently fun but with the Florida heat it got old pretty fast. Also, I'm 6'3 and with the roof visibility was a crapshoot. The 3 wheels also drove me a bit crazy and after watching a bunch of videos of these things flipping over on turns on youtube I was done. I had one close call at highway speeds and an abrupt lane change. It's either 4 wheels or 2 from now on.....

Neighbor across the street just got a “deal” on a blue one and looks cool but, he’s about 6’1” and every bit of 350lbs so, I have yet to see him sitting inside but, I assume he’s pretty cramped in there.

Never could get into these. Not knocking them just doesn't bring the spark for me.

I can’t stand the idea of riding on 3 wheels.. just way too unstable in so many situations, I rode my neighbours Can Am that’s similar but no roof, anyway, I couldn’t understand what the attraction is with these.
I’ve always thought they must’ve been designed and built for crippled old men that couldn’t ride 2 wheels any longer.

Yeah I can't say theres a ton of room. I'm 6'3 270lbs right now and it was pretty tight for me.

I didn't at first until I rented it. It's actually quite fun to ride around and decently quick but not fast by any means.

Your assessment is actually quite accurate. They feel unstable if taking a very hard turn.

The Sling Shot is pretty cool to look at but from my point of view it's more a car with three wheels than a motorcycle and I'd buy a convertible Mazda Miata before I bought a sling shot.

Looks cool. I've ridden trikes but never one of these.
