I finally worked up the courage to lower my bike myself after watching several You TUbe videos. I go to the garage. Grab my rear stand. Position the stand to get ready to lift the bike. What do I discover? I'm missing a damn spool. I guess I should have used some locktite when I put them on. Was only able to put my new Puig on.

I used a 6' ladder, ratchet straps, front and rear stands(for some stability), and a floor jack to lift the bike just enough to relieve the pressure when I swapped springs. I had the tail plastics off to get the ratchet through tthe frame. It does not take much to get it free...dont drop it.

Loosen the nuts before you lift it so you do not have to crank on it while it is up.

Also you can use a metric bolt in place of the missing spool until you get more if local stealership is out.
