Various riding gear review thread

My old Alpinestar Drystar gloves were getting really tired. The tag is so worn, I can no longer read the size. These were inexepensive and provided decent warth, but little water resistance.

I recently sprung for a new pair of Alpinestar Tourer V2 Drystars. Again, not expensive. I spent the day with them in the mid 40* rain on one ride, and just got back from a dry ride with them in the 40-60* range.

I like the gloves. The have better knucle armor than the old ones and the "safe retention" wrist strap is legit. The gloves do a good job of keeping my hands dry. But they are not as warm as the old units. So we click up the grip heaters to the next level when necessary.

I have largish hands and the 2XL sizing is consistent with my other gloves (Carhartt, etc.)
