8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere". They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides' most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army.
The people who need it most get very little, if any anyway.

While I agree with closing down the holes in our borders and more stringent control on all incoming Visa's and limiting our oil intake from Terrorist countries. I find it just a little bit offensive to call Canada and Mexico our enemies. We are a Country that has always tried to respect others viewpoints, religions and Ideologies even when they are trying to kill us Thats what makes us better then them... We can't put all the blame on countries that border us for terroists slipping through... We need to take a hard look at the problem and come up with an answer and not blame C & M but get them on board with fixing the problem. If there is any question of a persons intent at a border crossing they should'nt even considering letting them through. Just my .02 cents... Besides broad generalizitions have a tendency to bite us in the a$$.

See.. no one gets the "BIG PICTURE" when it comes to the whole oil thing.

Someone a long time ago looked at the big picture and figured it out.

Let me share it with you.


The United States is sitting on way more oil than anyone could ever imagine...

Why utilize and deplete our resources when we can utilize and help deplete everyone else's?

If we go to war, we don’t want to be dependant on anyone else's oil.

What would happen if the entire Arab world decided to go to war with the U.S. and they put some kind of sanctions on us stating that no oil is allowed to be sold to the United States, any nation selling oil to the United States would not be allowed to buy oil from any Arab state.

In a scenario like that, we need to have our own LARGE supply of oil for fuel or we would not have the awesome war machine we have that is so dependant on oil.

So like I said, why deplete your own food in your own house when it wont spoil and you can go to your neighbor and deplete their food first.

Bottom line, if we ARE using more oil than the planet is producing, some day, eventually the people who are currently producing all the oil will run out. Then the United States will have their balls in our hands.

And trust me, we will squeeze.

And with our military forces as strong as they are, if we add to that the fact we are the only country that still has an abundant amount of fuel, you all tell me who will be holding all the eggs in a very cushioned and protected basket.

Hitler was a liberal? Really? How do you figure the concentration camps into this idea? The camps were origionally developed as a form of political reeducation and later expanded to include social reeducation as well as mass extermination of divergent cultures and beliefs. Not a very liberal idea really. What about liebensunwerten Lebens, life unworthy of life, as a political adjenda? I would say the extermination of all mentally incompetent, sick and excessively elderly people in a society is far from a liberal idea. Father of the environmentalist movement, how so? Hitler said that he did not eat meat because it was impure not because he felt sorry for or placed any particular value on the animal.

I look at it like this... You have a group of 12 friends, 2 of them do something that is stupid/harmful to you. The other 10 might not be on board with the actions of the other 2. Do you ignore them all... even when not all were involved or even agreed. OR try and get them to get rid of the 2 that are A$$ hats.

sorry, but that's the funniest and most misguided thing that I've read in a long while....and I'm not even a "liberal", whatever that really is.

I'm raised Roman Catholic, and no "liberal" has ever threatened me, as far as I can tell.  I feel more threatened by people trying to tell me what my religion "really" means, and they seem more fundamentalist than anything else.

Simplistic and gross generalizations never helped anyone. On a government scale, it usually results in genocide. Nazi Germany, Cambodia, Rwanda, Sudan....

I'm done with this thread before I even get started. It's one of the most hateful things I've seen on this board, and I don't come here for that, why waste the time. It's a nice day outside.
