shorter swingarm options

i have done a bit of searching about putting a shorter arm on my 06 and have a few questions. while i had the front end apart and waiting on fork seals to show up i took the rear end apart and put an 04 750 swingarm in. the shock fouled on the inside of the arm before i could get the dogbones (stock) bolted on. so the 1 inch raising bones we no where near fitting. i also had a srad 750 shock pivot that i tried as well but didnt work. so my main question is.

what year swingarm, shock, and pivot do i need for it to bolt in. and what dogbones would work id like to use the inch raising ones i just bought is possible. id like a 750 arm as they are braced.
i know i can remove a link from my chain, raise the rear an inch, put a 190/55 on and a few other things. but im looking to swap something shorter in.

also if anyone has used a srad 750 arm id love to know what mods you did to the arm and what other parts you used.
any and all help would be appreciated

anyways heres some pics because everyone loves those.

rear raised an inch with a 200/55 tire

so 01-03 750 swingarm with busa shock, 01-03 600/750 shock pivot, and the busa +1 dogbones will slot in and work?

a buddy of mine has an 03 750 arm the shock hole is huge on it. i have a few different shocks at my house so i may give some of them a shot.

I had 01 1000 arm with all Busa stuff and it was short, scary short my present setup is SRAD 600 with 750 shock and Busa elbow and BUSA dog bones but 750 shock is too soft so I have to switch up some parts

can you post some pictures of your set up? ive always just ebay searched the part on ebay until i find one that matches to figure the year out

I tried the SRAD arm in mine, wanted shorter for clowning about / wheelies at speed.
I had similar issues with the shock fouling the arm.

I know to a guy in the UK who has two Busa's both with SRAD arms but I know he's running custom shocks.

It'd be great to know what combination to use.

question how do I tell which shock pivot is which
The busa pivot is longer than the Gsxr pivot. The early srad (96-99) is same as 01-03 Gsxr

One of the UK bikes I've seen with the shorter arm...

Dave ?Dodge? Rogers Supercharged

If I'm seeing right I could be wrong but it looks as tho they have modified that Arm by opening up the shock area.

I had a custom modified srad arm on a busa back in the day. They actually cut out the whole mid area where the links bolt and re welded in a bunch of metal which in turn made the shock hole huge. Also the stock pegs had to be spaced out to clear the sides of the arm. No I didn't have this done it was on a busa I bought years ago.

yeah i know dodge. i know most of what was done for both his supercharged busa and his and his wifes daily ride busa. thats not something im willing to do as i dont have a tig to use. so for now the k1-3 750 swap will have to do.

Thanks. This might be the way I go.
See if I can get all mods done to the arm and linkage so it's a straight bolt in conversion and can be fitted or removed.
I do have a spare frame and some suspension parts sat here so if I farm out the welding it'll be easier to show what I want done.

Thanks.

I'm sure that's a lot better than an old crap srad arm. Every time I've had to use a Gsxr arm I have had to use the Gsxr pivot so the shock didn't hit the arm.

im not sure what you mean. i didnt send it out to a welder. its just a used item i had sent to me. they are sending me another one thats in better shape. should be here by the weekend.

same here. but they sent me out a swingarm with all the little things. and they dont want the first arm or anything else back so its all good. and the crack is small enough that i can weld it up
