Red/Gray Busa

Hello everyone. I ordered new Red/Gray Busa recently. Can anyone tell me what color is the "red". Is it a wine color or a candy apple red. I'm getting my helmet customed painted by Stou airbrushing and they need to know. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I went to the Cleveland Motorcycle show, and the color red is more of a darker red than candy apple. I would wait if I were you, until the bike gets in or find someone with a good picture before you airbrush. I took pictures of my bike to airbrush specialist and It helped a lot. I do have the black/grey which makes life easier because matching colors aren't a problem. Congrats and welcome to busa club. It's a beast of a bike.

I have seen the bike several times. I would NOT consider it a "candy" color. I would say it is closer to a maroon color with added red.

I've had my red/gray since December and have a lot of digital pics but the appearance of the red changes a lot depending on lighting. Natural light versus artificial, shade, flash etc - the red appears a different shade. You'll understand when you get yours. Suffice it to say it is a darker deep red - more maroon like. You could take the rear hump to the painter if local or *maybe* you could use a sample of touch-up paint from Color-Rite. I haven't seen any postings on the Color-rite to know how close the match is yet but I may be ordering some one of these days. Color-Rite refers to it as Candy Velvety Red. Whatever it is - it turns me on.

Reason for the different color shades in different light is...the paint is a candy color, a translucent top coat over a silver metallic base coat.

Greatly Appreciated,
To everyone who responded to my inquiry. Yes Todd, the color code is YC6-Candy Velvety Red. I contacted my dealer and he provided me with the info. I was also informed this color will not be released by Suzuki for a couple of weeks. Nice to be a part of the Busa Family !!!!
