For those interested in learning how to maximize their ET's and set-ups for their Hayabusa's or any other bike, I offer a course to show you how. Classes are held on selected Fridays at Maryland International Raceway from 10am-6pm. Class dates are
June 23, 2000
August 4, 2000
September 15, 2000

Cost is $145 per rider and includes a free lunch. VHT fully prepped track, with personnel are on hand for a full day of "on track" and "classroom" instruction. Pre-payment required to register for a class. I have been racing for years and my courses are going into their 2nd year now. I myself have run low 9's on my stock motor, stock wheelbase Hayabusa.

Call for more info at 301-373-2739 or email at racnjasoncourse@aol.com

Hi Jason,

I used to run a stock black 1992 ZX-11 last summer down at Budds at Midnight Madness on Fridays and you helped me out from time to time. I recently bought a 2000 Hayabusa and am considering taking your class just for fun.

I just have a few questions for ya!

1)Roughly how many people are in each class?

2)Roughly how many passes do you get while under your tutelage?

3)Do I need to have leathers for the class?

4)Do I need to have a kill switch installed before the class? (I'm not going to drill my run button.)

5)I have a 2000 Hayabusa and I won't have the Shnitz clutch mod done before June 23rd. Should I wait until after I've installed the clutch mod to take your class?

6)Will I need a new clutch pack after the class?

7)Are spaces still available for your June 23rd class?

Thanks!

10 students per class.

More passes than you can imagine (over 30 at least)

leather jacket, gloves, and helmet required. Leather pants are required for 10.99 and faster.

kill switches are not required for class.

Yes, clutch mod is great for best results, I would have it done first, your choice though.

space is still availble in june 23 class.

The way class is structured, you will leave with a good clutch! We go back and forth from classroom to track and again and again.

Sounds like it's worth it just for the 30+ passes.

I'll get the clutch mod done before the August 4th date so I hope to see you then.

BTW, can you recommend anyone who can do the clutch mod properly? I'm sure I could do it myself, but it may be worth it just to pay someone else.

Thanks for answering my many questions. I now know that I definitely want to take the class. I've just got to take care of a few things with the bike first.

Jason,

If I lived in your area, I would take the class. IMHO, it's a great idea, and it's good for the sport.

Fast Lane Cycles (Chantilly, VA) can do the clutch mod for you, their number is 703-818-8890. I recicved your call last night on my answering machine and will call you back tonight.

Jason, do you travel around the country and teach your skills or do you just do it local to where you live?

Yea! Please give me a call later on tonight. I'm trying to get the clutch mod from Brock. Can you recommend anyone else besides Fastlane Cycles to do the clutch mod. They are the reason that I don't have the ZX-11 anymore. So I'm not really too happy with them or their work.

Call me!

Jason, you ever consider taking that class across country?

How about Gateway International just outside of St Louis, MO? If so, let us know. There may be a market for it!

BTW - thanks for your informative posts about working the entire track. Makes me think I can be a WHOLE lot better! Pass on posting my times at somewhat less than this boards posts! (60' sucks... speed is good. 1st visit to staging lane in more than a decade.)

I am looking forward to seeing your objective posts about the 12 (after?) when you've done a similar number of passes on it (300) as you have the bus.

Jason,

Did you get the 12? Any passes??

Thanks for the reply. OK, how about a video? A book? A pamphlet (see any desparation showing through)? I took my r1 to the track Wed and we are so slow it is almost embarresing (have done MUCH better on the bus since a couple former posts!)

Or a recommendation of someone else's book / video that may be on the market?

I'd like to learn some science behind this instead of just pounding the crap outta my scoot(s)... I realize the practice is likely just as (more)important.

THANKS!

Folks,

OK, it is June 30th. Any feedback from the 6-23 Class? Lets hear it! Overall impressions? What did you learn? How did your times improve?

Jason,
How about that road trip? St Louis, MO?

All, thanks.
