Pull your waste gate spring for "off boost" Logging and tuning

Gonna hurt the gate?
Turbo?
anything I am not thinking of?
Have done this on the past for short "trips to Mexico"
I know my setup will still probably go over 100 kpa but lowest spring I have is like 3 psi
This Mega Squirt VE Analyze tune works pretty awesome and figure in half dozen 20 minute rides, the bike will be super super close

too long to ride around some what HAMMERING as much as I can get away with safely?

I did that for a few months. Only thing I thought the bike was slower than stock.
I did it for a short ride or two with my GT2876
Looking to get the "off boost" stuff tuned better
I prolly should pull the charge tube and put a cap on the turbo end cause this turbo tends to still make positive pressure by 2-3 LBS with the gate spring pulled
end yeah slower than stock of course with the turbo pistons

only "problem" is I still get almost the same boost with no spring ????

5 pound spring usually in there nets ~5.5
no spring , 10,500 rpm Bike skipping and farting cause A/F was 9.8-1 made 4.2 PSI

Cause unburnt fuel?

went for another tuning session tonight
A/F in the low 13's now WOT from 5,000-11,000 with the gate spring pulled
without the spitting and farting of 9.9-1 A/F seem like 1.2 PSI
Much better. A few more "hits" to double check
