Now that I'm on the road , I would really like to get a good set of riding pants. WITH some good pading..I'd like the thighs, butt & hips padded.. And whats the best material? The best for the $$$..My skin cost more than the pants sooo. What ya think? Also what brand is accurate in its sizes? Do you wear them over your pants or as the pants themselves? I wont ride without gear.Been there done that .. Its not worth it ...

I wear a pair of Teknic Tactic convertible pants when I commute every day. There is no thigh/butt padding, but most do not have padding there. You can always buy padded shorts to wear underneath.

Do some looking around at the bigger companies like Alpinestars, Teknic, etc. They all make stuff of that nature.

If you really want something big enough to wear over clothes, I'd suggest looking at some touring stuff from Olympia, they have a few very nicely armored 1pc suits that are designed to wear over clothing.
