Please help

im having trouble connecting to my pcIIIusb and lost the disk. when i open the pcIII program and connect to the bike it wont get the map. says error retreiving map. what do i need to do????? i just came across a nx dry kit and want to be able to switch maps via my laptop.. thanks in advance

go to the dynojet website you cand download the program straight from there

just thinking about it is the bike running i believe it has to be running to get the map

if that doesn't work, i have the disc and cords on the other side of town

Could be a bad cord. Could be dirt in the connector.

i use the 9 volt battery when i do it..get a new cord too...and uninstal and re-install the program, also u may have to uninstall any usb drivers your computer is using as it may not recognise it

I need to wake this thread up.....

PCIII not communicating with Laptop. Does not show RPM or throttle position nor will it get or send map. "Error communicating".

Hook up the same laptop and cable to another bike and it works fine.

How would you know if the port is dirty or not..and if it is how do you clean it?

Could it just be a bad PCIII? It is about 2 years old.

it could be a bad PC... try letting someone else connect to it through their laptop. Always make sure the engine is running.
