Hey group, I've been lurking here for awhile but never really posted. Thought about getting a bike awhile ago, but decided against it and got a truck instead. Trucks just about paid off.

Hayabusa's my dream bike but I was afraid I'd kill myself on it. Sat on an '08 yesterday and the fire is back. Being able to "Dial it back a bit" makes me think I may be alright starting here and progressing. I'm stationed in Bahrain so I can afford it no prob, overseas pay good!

I dont have an 08, so I cant tell you about the different modes. What is your riding history? How big an ole boy are ya? Can you repsect the right wrist? The weakest link on the bike is what connects your brain to the throttle. Need more information. However, ultimately, the decesion is up to you. Welcome to the oRg.

I dont' think its a big deal. My dad is 51 years old, hes up visiting for a few weeks. He always says when he comes to visit how he wants to learn to ride a bike. Well, I pulled out the ZX14 and taught him on that. He's riding around the subdivision now. Today he's wanting to go out on the road, of course that scares me but he doing pretty well. Killed it maybe twice at first, but now he's doign well. Like Twotonevert just said, is when the link between your brain and throttle goes away that you have problems. Just be samrt about it.

My first bike was a chinese made 200CC and have had it for past 7 months (still have it actually), my second bike is a Busa 08, I've had it for a couple of months now, nothing worth mentioning has happened so far cause I've been very respectful to the mad beast underneath those beautiful fairings.

I would say go for the Busa man, is a one lifetime experience if you ask me!!

Luck and cheers!

I can only imagine, but I wouldn't argue with you! The difference in the two services is... striking.

Yeah, the bike terrifies me in it's own right I think I'm more afraid of going to slow in a corner and putting it down than anything else. I'm 6 foot so I think I fit on it pretty well. I took the bike class with AAA but never bought my own bike so I'm definitely on the inexperienced side. I'll hopefully be practicing on a friends bike for awhile before I pick it up. Moving off base in a few months thats when I should get it.

Looking at all black with silver detailing
