So I haven't been on this thread for years. I thought I would post some pics of my latest set up for you. Finally got some side bags. I'm going to do some longer rides. I've learned that having the appropriate gear makes all the difference and I need some space for it. The top case is almost always on for commuting from office to office. People want to rag on the top case but it's the difference between riding and driving to work. It normally has product and equipment worth twice what the bike cost new, so I couldn't care less what people think it looks like. Now I'm ready for the long haul with this 3 bag set up. Question for my sw motec guys, anyone run the side bag set up without the license plate mount like I have? I'm thinking about just cutting the brackets off. Anyway, 78k miles on this thing. Still on the original rear pads haha

@c10 modified his to bring the cases closer to the body panels and cut those legs off, so tagging him for his input.

I also modified the sub frame with M8 x 1.25 coupler nuts welded in place to mimic Motus motorcycle mount system . Only need 3 points not 4 . Two top and one lower front . Good all the way to 191 mph GPS but you better have your big boy pants on for that . After 170 its not as stable as a bird with no bags .

The basic pack is held firmly in place by these 4 little green ones, all the other ocky straps are for the water bottle, sleeping bag etc.
