Muzzy Carbon

Just got through talking to Doug Meyer (nice guy) over at Muzzys about my carbon inner panels and I guess I am just going to get a refund. He said these kind of flaws were normal in "real" carbon and maybe the few examples I have seen were imitation...I don't think so, but I really haven't looked that closely at other parts so who knows. I think Muzzy has made a noble attempt to make carbon parts at a very reasonable price. For guys racing and actually looking for every
ounce of weight reduction, these parts I'm sure are fine but for me, its only for
looks and so I will have to pass. If you want to give them a shot, they have mine
right now. I should also say that Muzzy treated me very well, always called back
and I would have no problem buying something from them again.

When you talked to Muzzy did you ask him about his pipe? I want to buy a pipe but not shure which one still.

He's right jim, my last 3 carbon cans had those flaws but you really gotta look closely.

Reberto...had a great time also, to bad you had to turn back when you did. Really liked your intercom set up, very sweet. Greg (panchop) and I swapped bikes and I gota tell ya, he was really yankin and
bankin that sucker. My tires are now full scuffed all the way to the edge and the fairing on the right side even has a little scrape (no big deal) pretty darn high up...that boy needs to forget the drag racing and go to the track. The funniest part is that when we got to prescott, he discovered he had worn a 3in x 1in hole
on the side of both of new boots, you could see his damn socks sticking out, it was great. He was really surprised at how well the busa handled given how people always call it a pig. I really think that if he had ridden my bike sooner, we could have converted him from the 12...hey Greg, come into the light, come into the light. We will have to plan another ride soon (after my trade show), maybe Rocky Point.

Omega, Im really not that picky when it comes to these things and you can see it from 6ft away, in fact, its the first thing you notice,

I called Muzzy Friday afternoon to see if my carbon panels had been shipped. He said they are on back-order and it will be about 30 days. He explained that when last batch came in a customer complained about the quality. He said that after looking them over that they were not high quality and scrapped them and are making more. He said that they were lucky to find problem on first set before they had sent out anymore. I feel like they have the customers interest at heart and are trying to do the right thing. Might have made up my mind on exhaust knowing if there is a problem it will be addressed. Just info for all! Jack.
