the spring is just a spring seat that goes between the cylender and the lower mounting point on the brake arm. Stiffens it up a little plus lever snaps back faster.. check out the pix of MC Mustangs bike where he mounted the resevoir.

oh yeah. the cylinder was $70, plus 3 for insurance and 4 for shipping. The spring was another $16
