09 R6 Was bought for the wife when she was sick, she seen it and fell in love with it (even though it's a yami) sadly she never got a chance to ride it. She liked the modified look but wasn't into all the bling. So it still sits in the den under a cover with 47 miles on it.

A lot of work went into that bike, very nice looking.

Yes, unfortunately I lost her to cancer a year 1/2 ago November. Glioblastoma BT so we knew there was no cure but always were thankful for each day we were given. And I'll give it to her,she may have been scared but she never lost her sense of humor.

I keep going back and forth about ever riding it, I know that will be the one time that something will happen and it will be when I'm on that bike. ??? But then again it's almost a shame to just let it sit. I replaced the slicks that were on it for the mag shoot with brand new pilot 2 ct and they only have about 100 yards on them(from bike shop to trailer, from trailer to house). Figured I'd let the shop change tires since I didn't want to mess up the rims. And the cool part about it is that of the 47 miles on it Eric Bostrom put 40 of those on it the day of the shoot.

Maybe one day......

I'm very sorry for your loss.

This is my wife's bike, aka the Pink Panther.....Alas, not only does she have chicken strips, she has whole chickens on the sides of her tires. Only thing exciting she has to say is that she gets 76 MPG i'm so ashamed....

That DN-01 sure is a weird-looking bike, like something BMW would come up with. They're a collector's item now.

I heard the Honda dealers were saying that the name stood for "Do Not Order 1".

Personally, I don't mind them, but I can see why they didn't have mass-market appeal.
I'm with you, they look different but she LOVES it. It is a blast to ride though. It handles great. I think one reason they did not sell well was their $16K price tag.
