I need to know which wire to use!

Since I am not going to run a gauge cluster on my project Frankenbusa, I am going to run just some of the warning lights as an LED.

I have already tracked down the Neutral light and oil pressure light. What I was considering doing was the low fuel light. I figured that when it comes on, I had a half gallon of fuel and that way I do not have to be checking the fuel all the time, and i know when I am getting low.

I cannot find the wire in the wiring diagram for this. Is it run strictly off the gauge? Meaning that the sending unit wires run to the gauge, and then when the gauge gets down to a certain point that the light comes on.

I am thinking that this is the case, but figured that someone here would know for sure!

Wow, two weeks and no answer?

A real stumper!

I am pretty sure that the low fuel light is triggered by the gauge, and I can't do it independent of the gauge........
