we use to also put our foot over the pipe end or push the kick stand down at the red light right before the light changes !!

You guys are killin' me with the "newbie" ideas. I am gonna have to do the kill switch thing and/or the kickstand thing. That is too funny. I guess the joke has not made it to my neck of the woods. Never heard of either. Good stuff.

And for newbies, words of advice. Stay way back or way in front of them and never ride beside them (for obvious reasons). Just stay back and laugh.

I think the worst is that all newbies feel that they are the sh*t regardless of what they ride and how unskilled they are.

actually, better than hitting the kill swith at a light, i like to do it on the highway too, (dont start flaming me. you dont know the scenario) is instead of just hitting the kill switch before the light turns green, if you get some guy you really dont like, take his key out and throw it into the middle of the intersection, now thats funny

I love the kill switch gag......did it all the time until most of us started racing and have an alternate teather to shut the bike off now.

The funniest time I did it was to a NEWBIE buddy of mine with an R6. We were going about 100 on the HWY and I hit his. He didn't know what happened and kept giving it gas, trying to figure out what was wrong. Once he figured out what was wrong and hit the switch, we were still going about 60 MPH and all of a sudden.....BOOM......it shot a 2-foot FLAME out the back of his bike because of all the unburned gas!

I almost wrecked because we were laughing so hard!

1. constantly feels the need to impressive others with their ridingh ability ---which is usually very limited

2. feels the need to always be at the head of the pack and disregards and kinda of formation

3. doesn't understand the difference between the limits of the bike and the limits of their ability to handle the bike (actually this should have been #1)
