Norton has died and been resurrected so many times that is it really a Norton anymore?

I remember my brother seemed to always be working on his Norton......there seemed to be always something wrong with it.

He has a couple BSAs now and they are never running properly it seems....

Whereas his Beemers seem to run forever especially his '78 RT with over 500,000miles on it....
