Well Sunday is the day for HMF high rise install (Saturday is Biketoberfest

), been trying to get some rest, eat right, and practice my cursing.

(Just warning the board, prepare for the barage of questions

I got HMF to fax me the install instructions it says to remove the rear tail and pegs...I don't remember anyone mentioning that before. Is that necessary?? (don't see why)

To be honest, it doesn't look that bad...

Yes you have to remove the tail plastic and the rear peg brackets. The hatchet brackets that the cans mount to are mounted behind the passenger peg brackets.

I started putting mine on last night and ran into some concerns with my no cut frame sliders not wanting to fit
Also I was wandering if you can still lower the bike with the high mounts on

Yes, you can still lower with the high mounts.
Just be sure to check clearences near the swing arm.
Pic below is lowered 3/4" in front and 1 1/2" in rear.

No idea about the sliders.

I didn't replace the gaskets. When I first fired her up after install, I had a couple of exhaust leaks and the exhaust manifolds. I took the header pipes off, pulled the gaskets, put them back in opposite the way they were so there was a nice smooth even surface for the header pipes to mate up to, reinstalled the header pipes, no leaks, no probs.
