It'll be way off, have to get a yellow box to fix it.

This site will calculate the gear ratios. You can figure the speedo error from stock with a little math.

The stock speedo is off by about 7% already.

Either that are you can always go with 19/41 gearing and be right on the money. You may not have the HP to pull it, but you will be right on the money.

FLCN72 is correct the speedo error is 7 percent off. Actuall a little more then 7 ercent.

I knew it was off the first time I rode a BUSA!

Heck.....I peg the 185 before I even shift into 6th gear!

Where can I get one of these yellow boxes to compensate for gearing changes ? I'm looking to go down to 16T front & keep stock 40T rear.
