Front comp damp force adj

I took the advice of a rider on this forum who everyone liked  his setting on the suspension. His setting for the front compression damping force is 4 clicks out. The adj screw is at the bottom of the fork. I set the screw to the closed postion and counted/felt 4 clicks out on both sides. However, the lines on screw are not aligned the same. My left side line on the screw is verticle (up/down) while the right side is horizontal (left/right). I  totally rely on the feeling of the click since Im hearing impaired. Any help is truly appreciated. Thanks!

Im sorry but I forgot to ask the question. Even though I believe I got the same number of clicks on both sides but the screws lines are different, should I be alarmed that perhaps something is wrong?

I don't think so. Mine aren't aligned with each other either.
