Finally got g/f on bike

Was raised early by G/f this am. The truck has a flat she says (she leaves a half hour before I wake up). Both of us are sick to boot. So, out I go to investigate. I find R/R flat (and off the rim) L/R has a golfball sized egg on it, and all of them are near the wear indicators and dry rotted between the treads. (Note: I only pay the note on the avalanche -- never drive it)
Then, in the process of installing the spare, the chock slips, parking brake doesn't hold -- down goes the truck on the r/r rotor and it wads my 2.5 ton jack like cardboard.
After a lot of cussing and using the bottle jack and the one "useable" jack stand I own, its off to the tire store with me in tow on the busa. She had to ride back on the busa with me (I stowed her helmet in the truck before we left) and then back out when the truck was done. I took it slow on her and didn't get smacked upside the head. I will try to get her impressions later tonight , but I know she is scared spitless of the busa.

Look at it this way, it could have been worse........your Busa could have fallen over when you were cussing the truck out! Things have a habit of snow balling like that, consider yourself lucky and be glad that the g/f might decide to ride with you in the future!

The parking brake works better with the rear wheels on the ground. When mine is on you couldn't push it with a bulldozer.

It will all work out in the end. It's just karma's way of getting your g/f sold on the Busa.

Patience, Grasshoppa!

Wow! I would never put my girl on the back! Sorry about your truck!

Her main concern is that she has no health insurance at the moment as she is a temp. She said the ride was "okay" but not long enough for her to get a feel for it. Her best friend's husband owns a harley and I will set up an afternoon day trip for the four of us when the weather gets nicer (up the coast or the likes)
this is actually the first time the rear seat has been snapped on and sat on .
