Is this the beginnings of the new world order? A consolidation of languages to accellerate the formation of the much fabled union?
You see entertainers in movies, actors by the name of Jason Statham, Russell Crowe, Clive Owen, Ben Kingsley in American cinema almost sharing an apparent 50% billing alongside American actors. These guys are from the US, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
Q: Why do they merit a place in American marketed movies? Why don't we have 100% home grown actors in US film? Why does a kiwi have to play a cholo in training day?
A: Because these movies are sold to larger audience.
It bothers me that we are being rollercoastered into an inevitable globalization; the definition of a new world order. This by the sale of foreign actors like Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz of Spain (a strategic American ally) to a popular audience across the English speaking world.
Someone hit the brakes on all of this before I throw a wrench in the works of Hollywood and their larger syndicate around the world.
