Chatter from top end during deceleration

Was riding around town and noticed a chatter from what sounds like top end ! I've never noticed it before just has me wondering ! Any ideas ?

where are you at in the rpms... if your too low it could be gear chatter which can ecco through the motor

Defective cam chain tensioners are notorious for backing out on deceleration . . . check this first . . .

I was gonna say that as it was the first thing I thought of, but I dont have any actual knowledge to back it up
