Cam timing after spacer plate install

Im running stock cams but have installed a .080 base plate. I have been told that adjustments are required to reset the cam timing. Is that correct & what needs to be done ?

You need to install adjustable cam sprockets onto your stock cams so you can set up the intake and exhaust lobe centers to their correct positions for your engine combination . . .
