bmc filter

my bmc filter came with no instructions it has (2) foam gaskets that look like you peal and stick them to the air box or the filter? if you can please let me know where they go and do you clean the filter like the k&n do they have to be oiled? thank you richie

As for the stick-on foam, compare to stock/OEM filter when taking that out and you'll see what to do with it soon enough.

BMC filter comes pre-oiled if memory serves me right and can be cleaned like K&N as it's quite similar in construction and materials.

My pleasure, BTW, suddenly remembered that of the 2 pieces of foam, 1 can be thrown away immediately. BMC simply includes the inside part in the package, although this is of no further use whatsoever, only the outside part goes on the bottom circumference of the filter where it sits on the airbox inner floor inside that infamous lip (re. airbox-mods) for extra sure sealing against anything NOT going through filter.
